School of the Arts Health Office is responsible for the assessment, monitoring, protection, and nurturing of students' physical well-being and health literacy. The SOTA Health Office accomplishes this by increasing students' access to health assessment and care at school, home, and the community.
THE SCHOOL NURSE’S ROLE:
Provide Emergency Care as needed and plan for health-related emergencies
Provide nursing assessment of health concerns
Establish care and medication regimens in order to keep children in the classroom
Promote student achievement and success
